Justine Temke

Lead Doula and Founder

Midwest Doulas founder Justine Temke was born and raised in France, bringing a unique perspective to her passion for educating and supporting growing families. She loves sharing her knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding to help families feel informed, confident, and empowered throughout their journeys.

Justine is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her goal is to give families the knowledge, tools, and encouragement they need to make informed decisions and create a birth experience that feels right for them.

When she’s not working, Justine enjoys spending time with her husband and children, cooking, crafting, having dinner with friends, and reading French books!

Both personally and professionally, Justine has experienced a wide range of birth journeys, including unmedicated and medicated births, cesarean births, water births, home births, and deliveries in hospitals and birth centers. This breadth of experience has shaped her commitment to open-minded, judgment-free care. It’s also why she partners with doulas who share her dedication to supporting each family’s unique needs and preferences.

Justine is a DONA-certified birth doula, certified Evidence-Based Birth instructor, and Certified Lactation Education Counselor (CLEC). She is also certified in HypnoBirthing and has specialized training in postpartum support and the Spinning Babies method.

Beyond her work with Midwest Doulas, Justine has volunteered as an on-call doula at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury and supported families through Everyday Miracles in Minneapolis.
